Once again it was a pack, sweaty night of rock and hardcore in Syracuse NY when The Monster Energy Drink – OutBreak Tour left it’s mark at The Lost Horizon.
This year’s Outbreak Tour features: Separations with their brand of metalcore, Turbo Wolf who brought a Psychedelic 70’s Rock vibe to the stage, The Color Morale with a post hardcore stomp and headlining the night was the high octane rock of Nothing More!
Just before the tour started, Nothing More’s drummer Paul O’Brien had decided to resign from the band as life on the road was taking a toll. They have replaced him with Ben Anderson, who did a superb job.
Separation kicked off the night and so did the mosh pit! Hands were swinging and with helicopter dances all around. While their music was unpredictable, they left you with an unforgettable performance that included their snappy guitars and heavy riffs. I can see why they are a newer break out artist on the rise.
They are out in support of their debut album “Dream Eater,” that is available for pre-order now and will be released on Oct 2, 2015.
Keep an eye out for these guys to continue to tour.

Second up was The British Psychedelic Rock invasion of Turbowolf. With groovy licks on some songs, and a more punk vibe on others, these guys really knew how to light up a room! With an incredible stage presence, Turbowolf brought people into the set from the start and held their attention to the end. Their singer Chris Georgiadis at times reminded me of Eugene Hutz of Gorgol Bordello with his stage antics.
Out in support of their latest album “Two Hands.” Once the Outbreak tour finishes, Turbowolf will be part of the Monster Energy Aftershock show in California before returning home for a European run. While this is their first time in America, let’s hope they will return! (See photo gallery links at end of article of their performance).
Next to take the stage was The Color Morale. Once again the hardcore would return to the stage. Even tho there were ink a handful of fans in the crowd to start, it wasn’t long before the crowd joined in. It was obvious that they had gained a bunch new fans after that performance!
They are out in support of their latest album, “Hold On Pain Ends.” They will continue on touring this fall with Motionless In White, The Devil Wears Prada, Upon a Burning Body and Artisan. They will be returning to our area of NYS on Oct 18th at Upstate Concert Hall.

And Last to take the stage was the ever powerful performance of Nothing More. This is one band that is great on their albums, but live, they kick it up another notch or two. Their sets are packed with emotions, energy and a vibe that is like no other. Then you add in their showmanship with their drum/bass solo that always gets the crowd hyped from the get go. After a 210% performance, they end their set with the ever so powerful “Salem” which again brings back in an impressive drum solo that is really like no other you see on a rock stage. Each member joins in, and the energy in the room goes wide!! You really can’t ask for a better show!
Nothing More is out in support of their self-titled album that is on Eleven Seven Music record label.
Nothing More will be teaming up with Shinedown/Breaking Benjamin before returning to Europe before the end of the year.

Outbreak Tour started in 2011 as a way to bring newer emerging artist together to kick ass across North American clubs! And that’s exactly what this year’s tour did!! Outreach tour has always been a tour that kept a low-do ticket price. So, if you are in the wake of this tour (or even remotely close), you will want to voyage out for a night that you won’t forget!
