Rob Zombie – Tag’s Summer Stage in Big Flats NY

Rob Zombie ROCKED Tag’s Summer stage in Big Flats NY! It was a night to remember and talk about for months to come.

I’ve seen Zombie many of times over the years, and one thing I know going in, Zombie puts on one hell of show. I know, with such high expectations, it can be a dangerous thing. Yet it never fails! Everytime I leave, they have surpass my expectation and I’m left question

myself… can they really have gotten any tighter and stronger of a group, or was it just that long that don’t remember exactly how good they are, knowing that they are truly one bad ass band!!!! Either way – one thing is certain, Rob Zombie is one amazing night out and they never disappoint!

If you have been to a Rob Zombie show – you know that it’s more than just a couple dudes on the stage playing their instruments, but it’s about a full stage show hosting an impressive presentation to boot. This time around, they have peeled back the layers of Giant Robots and monsters on stage and had opt for a simpler set design. The show was part of a small run before they head overseas, so maybe that has to deal with the smaller production. They still came out in costume and really, it was more about the music this time around than a huge production which still settled well. Usually there is just way too much going on during a show that you don’t know where to focus your eyes; this time around, it was fun to just enjoy the performance.

Their setlist consisted of those old Rob Zombie/White Zombie favorites like “Super-Charger Heaven,” “More Human Than Human,” “Living Dead Girl,” “Dragula” and “SuperBeast””Sick Bubblegum” “Pussy Liquor” Meet The Creeper“ as well as the “newer” zombie tunes like “Teenage Nosferatu” and “Lords of Salem.” They even throw in their covers of the Ramones song “Blitzkrieg Bop” and Grand Funk Radio’s “We’re An American Band!” You left the show completely entertained and singing the songs for days to come!

Rob Zombie will be heading overseas for an European run. They have a few upcoming USA dates listed for the fall : Oct 03 – Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY, Oct 10th – Rock Allegiance in Chester, PA and the Nov 1st – Monster Mash in Tempe, AZ. Keep an eye out as hopefully they will be adding more dates in North America this fall!
