Orgy returned to New York for one night only at Revolution Bar in Amityville NY. Kicking off the Holiday weekend, Orgy fans, new and old, came out in numbers!
Orgy’s setlist had just the right mix of new and old songs. Playing those older songs that we all love “Dissention” “Opticon” “Fiction (Dreams In Digital)” “107” “Suckerface” “Stitches” and of course “Blue Monday” while mixing in a good number of the new songs, “Talk Sick” “Suck It” “Spells” “Coma Back” “G-Face” and “Wide Awake And Dead’ – all part of their EP “Talk Sick” which was released as the tour kicked off and available @ orgymusic.com.
Coming from a fan from the Family Value Tour days – I have to say that the new songs are really impressive. While vocalist Jay Gordon is the only original member, he has put together a solid band – which really has captured the essence and vibe that is ORGY.
“Talk Sick” is the first release from Orgy in over a decade. It is the first part of a two-part EP Series that Orgy looks to release – “Talk Sick” and “Entropy” which is rumored to be released in 4-6 months to come.
Orgy continues to tour across the USA, winding down May 3rd in San Francisco, CA and look to play the Revolution Fest in Mexico on May 30th. Watch for good things coming from the ORGY camp.
Orgy is: vocalist Jay Gordon, guitarist Carlton Bost (Deadsy), bassist Nic Speck, Guitarist/Snythesizer Creighton Emrick and drummer Bobby Amaro.
Opening the show were several local bands – Candy Brain, Electric Caves and Level 2.0 (Metropolis Record Artist) and Orgy’s tourmates – Death Valley High (Minus HEAD Records) and 9Electric (Another Century – Century Media).
9 Electric have alot of energy on stage that you can’t help but get up on your feet. There is no doubt that these Los Angeles natives really know how to Rock! Out in support of their latest EP, “Control”, 9Electric looks to release their new full-length album through Another Century later this year. 9 Electric is fronted by Ron Underwood “Thunderwood,” (previously of Opiate for the Masses), guitarist Mikey Lopez, bassist Casey DC and drummer Micah Electric.
San Francisco’s Death Valley High has been described as “doom pop” – having a gloomy pop rock sound. With distorted guitar riffs over dance-punk beats, these guys are making their niche. Out in support of their latest album, “Positive Euth” via Minus HEAD Records. Death Valley High is Reyka Osburn (vocalist/guitarist), Sean Bivins (guitar), Todd Buller (guitar), Huffy Hafera (bass) and Adam Bannister (drums).
