Cheap Trick and Journey team up for a night of Classic Rock at the Grandstand in the NYS Fair!

Cheap Trick was first to take the stage and they brought their “A” game! They put on a fun show, with outstanding enthusiasm and while have a great sound! Kicking off the night with their Rock Anthem, “Hello There.” They packed in the hits including “Elo Kiddies,” “California Man,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “I Want You To Want Me” and “The Flame” before they inviting Anthrax’s Joey Belladonna on stage with them to do “Surrender.” They definitely put on a memorable show!

Cheap Trick will continue to tour North America in to November. Taking a short break, and then they kick off next year’s tour in Australia beginning in February.

Journey would headline the show – kicking off their set with “Be Good to Yourself,” “Separate Ways” and “Any Way You Want It.” I couldn’t help but think of that silly State Farm commercial as the crowd sang along. Their sound was tight and the large screens behind the band brought a little extra life to the stage theatrics.  They would go on to play those classic songs: “Only the Young,” “Open Arms,” “Wheel In The Sky” and “Faithfully” before rounding out the night with the ever anticipated “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

Journey only has a handful of dates left listed for this year, so keep an eye out for them to be in town!
