It was day two of the New York State Fair and playing at the Grandstand was the UpRoar Festival. This year’s festival includes an rotating all-star lineup of multiplatinum mainstage bands Godsmack and Seether, along with Skillet, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, Escape The Fate, 3 Years Hollow, Within Reason, New Medicine, 2013 UPROAR Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands winner Sons of Revelry, These Raven Skies, and Tattered. In Syracuse, The UpRoar Festival featured : Godsmack, Skillet, Pop Evil, Escape The Fate, 3 Years Hollow, Tattered, Sons of Revelry and Bad Seed Rising. The rain came down as the show started, but that wasn’t going to dampen the spirits of the crowd!! They plunged through the mud and not after too long the raindrops stopped and would hold off for the rest of the show.

The New York State Fair has so much to do and see. From feeding a giraffe and petting a zebra to roller coaster rides, Bird of Prey exhibits, The NY State Troopers exhibit and The Dinosaur Exhibit to all the great food and store vendors (including the Taste NY tent), The Native American Indian village, all the animals and demonstrations to see in the agriculture buildings (different breeds of chickens, turkeys, bunny rabbits, cows, etc); the cars exhibits to the airforce jet… and that is just a few things to come and see. There truly is something for everyone at the fair!!!

Of course there is live music at the fair. The local and regional acts in the Midway and national acts at Chevy Court and The Grandstand. From Blues to Classic Rock – Be sre to check out what national acts are still coming to the fair (below)
