It may have been a slow Tuesday night, if it wasn’t for that “Moment of Impact” when Eye Empire took the stage at the Boogies in downtown Albany NY. The show was truly a special night when the band and crowd partook in an intimate night of rock n roll. Live, Eye Empire engages their crowd, raising the energy levels to the roof and brings an atmosphere of an all around fun night of rock. One thing that I notice was that the band really tried to interact with everyone in the crowd, either with a fist bump, a nod of the head or mere eye contact. They made sure that everyone was just as much a part of the show as their guitars/microphones that were plugged in. As their first single, “I Pray” continues to roll out on radio stations, the world should be getting ready for Eye Empire to rule the rock n roll world.

But make no mistake; these guys are no stranger to the scene. It started out as the brain child of bassist Corey Lowery (Stuck Mojo/Stereomud/Dark New Day) and guitarist B.C. Kochmit (Switched). Within two years of getting together and writing, the guys would join forces with vocalist, Donald Carpenter (Submersed) and former Texas Hippie Coalition member Ryan Bennett on drums to complete the Eye Empire circle.

Their first recordings took off with internet sales, selling thousands of copies. Produced by Corey Lowery and Eye Empire, the album would be expanded with three band new songs for their national debut album, “Moment Of Impact.”  For those of you with Sirius/XM’, I’m sure you have heard their first single, “I Pray” on regular rotation on Octane Radio.

You may had caught them earlier this year, as Eye Empire was on tour with Wayne Static. Be on the look out for them to come to a town near you with their current  headlining tour, running until mid July. From there they will be sharing the stage with NonPoint and Call Me No One for a summer tour. Tour dates are listed below.
