When you think of Rock, Shock and Horror, who doesn’t think of the legendary Alice Cooper? Here’s your chance to experience all things Alice — snakes, spiders, electric chairs, nooses, murder and mayhem. Universal Studios Hollywood has added a new wing to their annual Halloween Horror Nights event including a haunted maze attraction which was inspired by Alice’s Nightmares. Rumor had it that Alice himself was incognito opening weekend, scaring all those who dare to go into his Nightmare maze. Located on the same lots where ‘The Wolf Man’ and ‘Frankenstein’ were born, the Halloween Horror Nights will be open now until October 31st. Also don’t forget to check out the other attractions at Universal like Rob Zombie’s “House of 1,000 Corpses” in 3D Zombievision, Eli Roth’s “Hostel: The Hunting Season,” “The Thing: Assimilation,” “The Wolfman: The Curse of Talbot Hall” and “La Llorona: Villa de Almas Perdidas, as imagined by Diego Luna.” For more information, watch the video bellow and visit www.halloweenhorrornights.com.
Alice Cooper will also be featured on the Travel Channel’s show, “Making Monsters” Today, Sunday Oct 9, 2011 at 8pm EST. (double check your local listing). “Making Monsters” will dive into the mind of Alice Cooper while they take a closer look at his FrankenAlice, the 12-foot authentic puppet. FrankenAlice is part of the “No More Mr. Nice Guy” tour (See tour dates below). Here is the preview of “Making Monsters”:
Last month, Alice released his latest album “Welcome 2 My Nightmare”– the follow up sequel to his classic 1975 release “Welcome To My Nightmare.” Celebrating the release Alice will be conducting several contests on his site including an autographed Alice Cooper Fender Telecaster, an autographed Alice Cooper Fanpack that includes Alice’s new album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare, plus 2 exclusive bonus tracks, a giant Alice Cooper poster, official metal pin badge, Alice Cooper mask, and a 132 page special Alice Cooper edition of Classic Rock magazine.
