Every now and again, the phoenix will rise from its ashes. Publicly, drummer Mike Portnoy seemed to be wrung through a ringer, but that is no more. It was time for Mike to rise from those ashes when he joined forces with guitar virtuoso Mike Orlando (Sonic Stomp), vocalist Russell Allen (Symphony X), and bassist Paul DiLeo to form a Metal Mulisha which they simply call Adrenaline Mob; and the Adrenaline will definitely pump through your veins in the presence of these guys.

Musician Photo Journal caught up with Mike Portnoy and Mike Orlando during sound checks at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY. We talk about how the band came to be, their current self-titled EP, the new album that will be released in 2012 plus tour plans.
