Brix’s story was alot of fun and we felt it was worth bring back for our 2010 Halloween Special Edition. Enjoy.

Brix was part of the music scene for over 10years, playing guitar in the band Skrape (2000 – 2004) and bass in the band Dope (2004 – 2007). According to Brix’s facebook page, he decided to move to the business (non-performing) side of things and is now the head of USA sales and marketing for Seven Kings.

BRIX – One Halloween, in 1995 or something, involves this band I was in before Dope, Double Odd Spool; we were a Beastie Boys fun tribute band. We dressed up on Halloween as the Beastie Boys from the Sabotage video as these 70’s cops. We had on exactly what they had on in the video and we had the car with the CB antenna… We rolled downtown where there was 1,000’s of people. As we rolled up in the car, we got out of the car and started running along side of the car with CB radios, like in the video, and were running through the crowd, doing our thing. Well, there was this Halloween costume contest going on, and we didn’t know it was going on nor did we have any intensions of doing anything; we were just running around like idiots. The crowd told us that we had to go up there and pushed us up there, with our fake guns doing our thing, and we ended up winning first prize which was a corner bar tab. It was totally unintentional, but we had a real fun night.
