SCARIEST MOMENTS : Tim Lambesis of AS I LAY DYING.

TIM – My Scary story is my younger brother has what they call night terrors. It’s kinda like sleepwalking but you are sleepwalking in your nightmare and he would have conversations with us. He would come into my mom’s bedroom and tell her stories of how he was going crazy and these people were after him. He would tell her that ‘they have to take me mom, but I would not let them take you.” My mom would pretend that she would take him to the hospital, and would get him in the car and drive around to calm him down, so the night terror would end; and he never would remember the next day. This one time, I decided to go check on him, and I opened the door to his room. He sat up straight in his bed and looked at me and told me that I could not come in. I was like “It’s just me. I just wanted to see if you were sleeping.” And he said, “Not you! The guy behind you!’ He was actually having a night terror, but for that spilt second, I though someone was behind me, about to put an axe through my shoulder.

MPJ – How old were you when this happened?

TIM – I was about 18.
