We had the amazing opportunity to catch up with them at their show in Saratoga Springs, New York. I was mesmerized by their performance and high spirited energy as lead vocalist Shaun Franks called out to the crowd for their participation. During their song “Fingers Crossed”, he asked everyone in the audience to cross their fingers, not for luck but for hope and love and everything good that it stands for. Shaun is quite good at working the crowd and women love this band, if their euphoric screams are anything to go by. Don’t think its just for the ladies, boys! I heard some of you dudes shouting, too.
This tour with KISS in the U.S. is building a devoted and steady following with each and every show, every heartfelt performance for them and it’s easy to see why. I am actually expecting them to be as big as Bono and U2 and given time they may even be bigger. They are superstars in the making and if this tour is a sign of things to come then I can’t wait to see what happens next!
KISS was beyond fantasmic and amazing as always! They had their classic moves with Simmons biting his tongue and spewing blood everywhere while flying threw the air and Paul Stanley going out in the middle of the audience to dance and sing to “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”. KISS definitely knows how to work the crowd and put on a killer performance that people still talk about weeks after they’ve gone. I particularly enjoyed the massive pyros myself. I guess I was a little too close to the stage and staring too hard at them, since it was pointed out to me afterward that some blood vessels in my eye had popped due to the decibel range in the arena. Now that’s the loudest, “Hottest Show On Earth!”
