INTERVIEW – Keri Kelli of ALICE COOPER

Musician Photo Journal had the opportunity to sit down with Keri Kelli after his show with Alice Cooper in Verona NY. We talked about life on the road with Alice, the upcoming tours and albums, a glimpse of his life back in California and his bar in Las Vegas plus more…..

Keri Kelli first hit the scene in early 1990’s with his glam metal band Big Bang Babies. They took the Sunset Strip by storm, leaving a lasting imprint. Keri soon became the “go-to-guy” in Hollywood, and has played with an impressive list of musicians that include Slash’s Snakepit, Skid Row, Vince Neil Band, Ratt, Warrant, LA Guns, Pretty Boy Floyd, Alder’s Appetite, Dad’s Porno Mag, The Newlydeads, Love/Hate, Tuff, Saints of the Underground (with Jani Lane, Bobby Blotzer and Robbie Crane ), Phucket, and of course Alice Cooper.

A few years ago, Keri became a full-time member of Alice Cooper’s band. Not only does he get to show off his guitar skills but he also co-wrote songs for Alice’s last studio album, Along Came A Spider 2008 (“Killed By Love”, “The One That Got Away” and “Feminine Side”) and the current Alice Cooper album that is in it’s early stages.

In 2006, Keri got together with Ratt’s drummer, Bobby Blotzer to form the group Saints Of The Underground. They recruited ex-Warrant singer, Jani Lane and Ratt’s bassist, Robbie Crane to join the band. In 2008, they released their first album, “Love the Sin, Hate The Sinner” album.

When Keri is not out on tour with Alice Cooper, you might be able to catch him performing in his all-star jam band, Team Noise with Kevin Blades of LIT, Jimmy D’Anda of The BulletBoys, Andrew Freeman touring guitarist for The Offspring, and Rowan Robertson of DIO/VAST.
